Walk, Look, Listen, & CONNECT! Back by community request, RWM is launching the 2nd Annual Winter SoundWalk. Explore the festive, wintery cityscape of downtown Ashland via a curated arts experience.
The Winter SoundWalk features art installations by local artists ages 5 to 100 in local business windows throughout downtown Ashland, with thematic threads of “nature” weaving from work to work. A streamable, curated showcase of local, regional and global musicians features music connected to the November-January time through out the world. Participation is free. All artwork is in street-facing windows and the audio is available to stream off the website, making it convenient to participate whenever is best for you!
“Our goal is to acknowledge the variety of cultural experience of this time of year around the world while creating a moment of exploration and play. ” - Ana Byers, Rogue World Music Executive Director. “The whole atmosphere of Downtown Ashland is magical this time of year. The Winter SoundWalk creates an opportunity for folks to have a reason to stroll through the space, seeking out beautiful or charming pieces of art while listening to music. It is an easy way to weave a little more arts experience into daily life. “
This marks the second year of the Winter SoundWalk, produced in collaboration with the Ashland Chamber of Commerce as an effort to create as many layers of experience and engagement for Ashland residents and visitors alike over the winter holiday season while supporting local businesses.
